Not only do I have a new blog design, but I also have my very own logo, which I absolutely love. The colors are slightly different (although staying true to my favorites – pink and purple) but the layout is changed. I was ready for something different and I am in love with my new theme – Crave (based on Genesis.)
I hired Jessica, of The Pixelista, and I couldn’t be happier. The whole experience has been incredible – from initial emails all the way to the new design going live.
I’ve always been super stressed about changes to my blog in the past. My biggest problem? I know what I like (or don’t) when I see it, but I have a hard time envisioning things. And that can be an issue when trying to describe things over email. But thanks to The Pixelista, this experience was completely different.
Here I am only a couple weeks later with a beautiful new blog design and I haven’t pulled out any hair! Seriously. I’m still a little shocked that I’m still sane. I’m not putting down my past designers (I’ve loved my past blog designs) – I’m saying that Jessica is in a league by herself.
Jessica quickly and thoroughly answered my lengthy emails and made sense of my ramblings. It was incredible how she seemed to picture exactly what I wanted, without me having to describe it! I never had to repeat myself once which was amazing. Another thing: I was never left wondering what the next step was; Jessica always told me what was going on or when to expect a proof, etc. She also showed me different options – for example: actual graphics showing how my logo would look with various fonts. I’m very visual so seeing this was exactly the key I needed to make quick and easy decisions.
I also loved that Jessica was happy to give me her opinion, but if I wanted something different she was perfectly fine with that too. That’s the sign of a true professional.
If you’re in the market for a new look for your blog or website, I highly recommend The Pixelista. She is absolutely worth every penny. I have found my dream blog designer and it’s The Pixelista!
